Sometimes it takes something really tragic to generate the passion and energy to create. I doubt I would have ever begun this venture if it hadn't been for the pain of loss and loneliness. At some point I decided I was tired of sitting around crying every night and my idea to make crafts as a way of using the time productively was hatched.

Who knew it would prove to be so therapeutic! Just searching the web for old Catholic relics that I could integrate into my decor pieces and little trinket boxes was very soothing. When each little package arrived with postmarks from around the world, I was like a child on Christmas. Holding these antique treasures from far off countries in my hands, I honestly felt a sort of blessed energy from them.

When trying to decide on a name for my Etsy shop, I asked myself what it was that I wanted to do with these finished items. Then it came to me as I was driving to the grocery store--I want to stir souls. So, Soul Stirrings Gifts was born.

My crafts are definitely not perfect, they are hand-made and real--a huge difference from a machine-made product from China! These decor pieces and cards have character, and for the folks who buy one for their home or as a gift for a loved one, they will see they also have a certain beautiful and soothing energy about them.

You will notice some disparity in price points between seemingly like items. This is due to the costs of various antique or vintage components which vary per piece.
