Hi there! Welcome to Furever Burned Art. My name is Tabi, and my journey into the art of pyrography began over four years ago during one of the most challenging chapters of my life.
While battling a rare disease called Nutcracker Syndrome, I found that I needed something to do with my hands—a way to focus my energy and find peace amidst the pain. Picking up a wood burner wasn't just a hobby; it was a lifeline. After undergoing life-saving surgery, I realized that while the pain was gone, my passion for this art form was only just beginning. I had fallen completely in love with the process of bringing wood to life.
Hand-Burned with Heart As a pet parent myself, I know that our fur babies are family. I quickly discovered a special joy in creating custom pet portraits and memorials upon request. Every piece I create is hand-burned with professional tools on live-edge basswood. I don’t use lasers or machines; every stroke of fur and glimmer in an eye is created by hand, heat, and heart. I often incorporate colored pencils for subtle depth and finish each piece with a protective sealant so your portrait can be cherished forever.
Bringing Happiness Home When I’m not in my studio (usually with a dog at my feet!), you can find me out on a 3-mile walk, spoiling my own fur babies, or tending to my plants. It truly makes me happy to know that I am bringing a little more love and a permanent memory into your home. I work hard to make every custom order unique, honest, and high-quality.

What to Expect When You Order
I want you to feel connected to the process as I bring your pet’s portrait to life. Here is how your piece is created:
Preparation: Each piece of live-edge basswood is carefully picked and then hand-sanded to a buttery smooth finish to ensure the finest detail.
The Sketch: I create a digital sketch of your photo for your approval. This is our "check-in" point—I want to make sure you love the layout!
The Burn: Once you approve the sketch, I transfer it to the wood and begin the meticulous process of hand-burning every detail with heat and precision.
The Finishing Touches: I apply stain and use professional colored pencils to bring the portrait to life, finishing with a high-quality sealant for protection.
Delivery: Your art is packaged with care and shipped from my home in Wisconsin to yours.
Choosing the Right Size
To ensure there is enough room for all your custom details, please use this guide when ordering:
Small Round: One pet portrait + name.
Medium Rectangle: One pet portrait + name + a quote OR two pet portraits + names.
Large Rectangle: Two pet portraits + names + a quote.
