I have been surrounded by some very talented people all of my life. Watching my Mother, Aunts, Grandmother and Great Aunts sit around a homemade quilt stretcher tying up quilt after quilt is one of my earliest memories. My Grandmother made multiple quilts for her large brood of grandchildren and I was always mesmerized by her ability to pull together scraps of fabric and create something beautiful that had the sole intention of keeping somebody warm. Thus, I have made it a life goal to follow in those footsteps and create my own creations.
I studied mathematics in college and have always been drawn towards patterns that are mathematically beautiful and complex. I am prone to conflicting patterns and colors and am delighted by optical illusions and a false sense of depth and texture. Psychedelia is one of my very favorite art forms, and hope to create new fun pieces for those that enjoy having a piece of art that is visually stimulating.
I post randomly and also do all sorts of other crafts, so keep checking back to see if there is anything new and exciting.
