Frequently asked questions

What material will my miniature be made of?

We use liquid photocurable resin. Our 4k or our large format 8k printers are capable of stunning detail at such a small scale. The resin formula consistently produces ultra-sharp ultra-crisp prints, has zero shrinkage, no odor and is safe to handle once cured- we do the curing and support removal! - Pleases note, I might miss a small support or two, but they're easy to remove with an x-acto knife.

Also, please understand that I greatly prefer using grey resin, but when my supplier is out, the figures I ship will still be of the same quality you expect from me and in the same resin, just a different color, likely ivory.

What scale can I expect?

The scale and size of the model can be found in the description of each item. If a scale is not explicitly stated, default is 32/34mm scale.
Please put "28mm" in the "note to seller" field if that is what is desired . If you are unsure about the size or a different scale is desired, please send a message and I'll be happy to print what you need.

I can also mirror/flip a model before printing if desired. Type such requests in the "note to seller" field. This is handy for left-handed characters or doubles.

What do I do if my miniature was damaged during shipping, defective or not what I expected??

We carefully package each figure, take great pride in our quality control, & refuse to ship out any miniature that we wouldn’t want on our own gaming table. That said, I understand that post will sometimes treat the package like a football, maybe HR stole a piece from your order, or we missed a defect despite our best efforts. There might be some minor imperfections due to the nature of 3d printing, but if your mini arrives damaged, misprinted, or unusable, please reach out with a clear picture of the mini, the shipping box (if damaged), & description of the issue and we will get you that mini you wanted!

Please don't leave an imperfect review w/o giving me a chance to remedy it, I don't always see them to reach out.

Do I need to do anything before I start painting my miniature?

Resin, though detailed, can be brittle. Please handle with care!

We do all the cleaning, drying/curing, and other prep work (removing supports, cleaning up rough edges, etc.) needed for you! Generally, all you might need to do is a bit of sanding/filling, gluing to the base or assembly, and priming before painting your miniature, the same as if you bought a cast miniature from a big box company.

We may strategically keep the supports on certain extremely delicate pieces to help them better survive shipping. (soak in hot water for easy removal)

On the occasion that a part becomes bent (such as a skinny sword or spear), this can be easily fixed: gently hold the bent part under hot water for about 10 seconds and hold until cooled.

Who sculpted these models?

You can find the artist in each individual listing. We have commercial merchant licenses with all of the artists we print for. It's important to only buy models from a merchant who is licensed by the artists to print out their STLs so they are paid for their work. If you know of any prints from the artists that that you don’t already see for sale in our shop, please ask us and we can see if it is possible to acquire and print them for you at no extra charge!

You can find the full list of our commercial merchant licenses in our About Section.

Is there assembly required?

That depends on the model. The listing will tell you how many pieces are included and some images will have helpful diagrams as well.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes and no. That depends on what is meant by custom.

We are not the artists that design the models, and we don't hold the right or the capability to alter them.

Unfortunately, we also do not design original characters from scratch.

What we can do upon request is mirror a figure or resize it, say if you wanted 28mm scale instead of 32mm. For minor changes like these, just let us know in the "note to seller" at checkout.

For any other custom request, send us a message and we'll see what magic we can work for you.

If you are looking for a certain model from a designer we hold the license to but you don't see it in the shop, let us know and we'll see if we can track it down for you.

When will my international order arrive?

I want your order to arrive sooner than later, but depending on global events at the moment, some international orders have taken as long as ~two months. Please understand this is completely out of my control and I may not be able to track the package once it leaves my country. I am happy to look into upgraded shipping for you if desired before an order is placed.

Do you offer painting services?

We do now! We can prime your model for you, have it table ready, or we can go all out with colors and detail for a parade/display ready model. There is a listing for this under the custom orders section- there's more detail there, but either way, we'll need a message so we can discuss what you would like. I now have someone with a passion for painting that can offer this service while I'm busy printing.

What is "SFW/NSFW"?

"SFW" or "Safe For Work" is an acronym, most commonly used on the internet, to describe content that is appropriate to view in a professional, public, or school setting. It indicates that the material does not contain sexual, violent, graphic, or offensive material. Similarly, "NSFW" means "NOT safe for work." In the case of the models here, it is used to indicate there are nude and/or seminude versions.
