SpinningFlockFarm

My parents, Ed and Mary Ann Jackson retired to a sheep farm in Woodbine, MD to fulfill a lifelong dream of Mary Ann's. For almost 20 years we kept a booth at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival until that became too much work. While the sheep and farm are now gone, the yarn lives on, along with Mary Ann's remaining collection of Bob White Red Wing Pottery.

We specialize in hand dyed yarns, primarily from Maryland Cormo sheep. White Cormo fiber gives nice clear colors with enough body to maintain clarity in lace patterns or in knit/purl textures. We also have skeins blended with Maryland goat mohair to produce a lovely soft, but durable yarn. In addition we have skeins from our mixed herd which included Merino sheep of various colors that are perfect for knitting socks or weaving.

We also offer skeins and cones of undyed yarn for the home dyer.

Other products include knitting patterns from Mary Ann Jackson and handspun yarn by both Ed and MaryAnn Jackson and tablet woven belts by Ed!
