The World is so full of a number of things.....
Welcome to my world of beautiful things. I have always loved things Asian, from the time I was very young, and visited Chinatown in old Los Angeles, as a child. Olvera Street ( little Mexico), was also part of my childhood, and i grew to love things Ethnic. Visits to the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, made me crazy for bones and skeletons.
I haven't traveled a lot, but my way seems to be traveling through things and people from other cultures. I Have lived on Northshore Kauai and Kona side Big Island, spent more than half a year in Rio de Janeiro, visited Alaska, and lived a good number of years in Oregon, in the backwoods, where a lot of my family lives.
I've studied Spanish, French, and even a little Brasilian Portuguese. I've sung for people since I was Two, been on stage dozens of times doing Comedy and serious plays, and was on live TV in the very early days, on Art Linkletter's afternoon House Party, as one of the KIDS.
I am a Mother of four, a Grandmother of eight, and even have Three Great Grandchildren.
I've won and lost more than I can recount, and still the world for me is a glorious place.
I began making Buddhas, after a friend visited Bali, and asked me if I could make molds and create finished Buddhas for her new business. Having been a mold maker since the early Eighties, I was delighted for the challenge. That was over 35 years ago, and the joy this work brings has never left. I get great pleasure knowing these statues go out into the world bringing peaceful grounding to people everywhere.
Having been fascinated by Rocks, Stones, Shells and Bones since I was a child, it is a natural progression to create Jewelry from the beautiful things I have collected through my entire life. Awareness of the Energies these earthly things bring makes it even more meaningful.
Because I love treasure hunting, I also find things I love and want, and I like to share them, so that they will be appreciated and protected as they deserve to be. I get to have them around for a while, and learn about their origin, and then pass them on to others.
Nature in general, and animals in particular, provide my heaven, my church, and my peace. I live with a Family of cats whom I adore, a mini pig named Simon, and a variety of Birds, Trees and Hillsides as part of my hideout here on the Northern Coast of California.
