Super cute medical-themed chocolates perfect as a little surprise for my niece and her 3 med school friends, all of whom just got their residency matches and will be staying with me for a little get-away. The Story Behind My Shop!

I always have loved to cook, bake, create! I decided to try something new for my High School Graduation Reception....pretzel pops! They received rave reviews from my guests and after my uncle suggested I sell them I decided to give it a try at our town's Harvest Festival in October 2012! That was the start and in April 2013 I received my Food Prep/Vendor's License and officially began "Promise Pretzels of Maine"! I decided on Promise Pretzels because I believe in the promises of God for my life and believe in standing by my promise to you the consumer of fresh and delicious treats! I began selling items on Etsy and increased the items in my shop. Along the way I received my degree in Culinary Arts Baking and Pastry and opened a retail storefront in Searsport Maine. I decided to change the name to Splendiferous Sweet Shoppe as I now create many varieties of candies. My shop in Searsport has an Alice in Wonderland theme and I even dress as Alice for special events.
I also decided from the beginning to send a portion of all proceeds to help medical missions worldwide. and now send money from my tip jar. Currently, we are helping Refuge Place International in Liberia West Africa with their clinic for mothers and babies. For more information, please check out their Facebook Page!
