How Split Arrow Began
Hi I’m Kristy and I first started making PVC pipe bows when I was looking into starting mounted archery. I did not want to buy a $500 bow not knowing if I would like the art of mounted archery. So I started looking all over the Internet trying to find a cheaper solution, that is when I stumbled upon PVC pipe bows. I admit I was skeptical at first, I did not think that they would shoot very well at all, but I thought I’d give it a shot anyways. I made my first bow and I was very impressed. I knew right then and there that other people would be interested in buying quality PVC pipe bows for half the price a normal bow would cost.
Do I specialize in any particular style of PVC pipe bow?
The answer would be no, but I do really enjoy making horse bows with wood siyahs.
Do I have a favorite style of bow?
Yes and no, each bow style has its positives and its negatives. I like each bow style for different reasons, but if I had to pick overall which one I would like I would pick my horse bow with wood siyahs. I love the way they look and the way they shoot.
Do I take custom orders?
Absolutely! I love working one-on-one with the customer to make their bow exactly what they wanted. I love carving initials and specializing the bow so you have a personalized bow that was made just for you.
