Bringing the Love of the Outdoors to the Marketplace
The outdoors is where I love to spend my time. Since my early childhood days, spending time fishing, hunting and the outdoors has been my passion. Now I spend a lot of time watching my kids playing baseball, football and baketball but we always return to "go fishing or hunting" in our free time. I grew up in the local bait and tackle shops and always tried to find an excuse not to attend school, but find a way to visit my family's lakeside business. My uncles owned two bait shops near the lake and river. I always was there trying to help them when I wasn't fishing, hunting or playing ball. During those early years much time was spent trading and making fishing lures, lead, hunting accessories and anything possible that could be sold in their stores. I also did a lot of commercial fishing during that time, arising before daylight to check my trot lines on the lake and doing this again that night. Those beginning years are close to my heart. I've worked in the tackle manufacturing and retail business for over 40 years and still love it as well as those early years. I'm working now to pass the experiences on to sons.
