5 out of 5 starsI really like this simple piece of jewelry. It meets my masculine needs while allowing me to display my commitment to the well-being of others in these unsettling times. Thank you!

1 out of 5 starsWhen this ring gets wet, the black fades and silver shows through. I would not recommend it. The ring looks ridiculous because it is now spotted with silver and black.

After researching a bit on the subject I found out that the protective jewelry varnish I used for the oxidized silver items, was sensitive to heat/cold changes causing it to chip and leave the oxidized layer exposed to friction. I have since removed the specific item from my listings and I'm currently searching for an alternative jewelry varnish manufacturer or a different coating method. After I received Sierra's review I messaged her offering a complete refund (as is stated in my policies regarding unsatisfactory items) but she declined to reply.

Additional policies and FAQs
Just like your car and your clothes need to be washed occasionally, and shoes polished, your silver jewelry needs to be cared for in order to stay fine. To keep your silver jewelry shiny and clean, it is good to take them off before you play sports, showering, bathing or going to bed. If you use perfume, hairspray, makeup and skin creams, it is best to let it dry before putting on the jewelry, otherwise there is a risk of discoloration (chemical reaction).
In the summer, you may need to polish their jewelry a little more often, since often sweat a little more. Our sweat contains salts and sulfur which react to silver. If you take medicine, this can speed up the oxidation process also.
*** Brass Items***
State it Brass Jewelry come coated with lacquer to prevent tarnishing and to protect delicate components. Untreated brass will easily change color when exposed to humidity. For this reason jewelry that comes in direct contact to the skin are more susceptible to discoloration. Avoid swimming or showering while wearing your jewelry and never spray perfume on them, in order to avoid the lacquer from dissolving.
Your brass rings leaving you a green mark on the finger? No problem, just coat the inside of the ring with clear nail polish and let dry.
***Silver Items***
Silver doesn't tarnish as fast as brass but still oxidizes slowly. Keep a shine in your silver jewelry by having it always well-kept. You can do this by taking some very slightly soapy water and use a soft brush to dab and scrub gently at the surface to remove any dirt or grime. Another simple trick that makes your silver jewelry fine again, is to brush them with toothpaste and lukewarm water. Use a toothbrush or a little harder scrubbing brush. (Toothpaste contains a mild polishing agent). Avoid Zendium / Sensodynes toothpaste for sensitive teeth, as they contain no polish!
Silver together with leather is not a good combination. Leather is treated with tannic acid that makes the silver oxidizes and darkens. Note that if you store silver jewelry in a jewelry box made of leather, they will oxidize, so avoid it!
***Storage***
Keep them in a dry, dark place (preferably not in the bathroom). Although chlorine or salt water can discolor your jewelry, it is best to use the jewelry. It becomes a natural and continuous "wear" through the use. It is mainly when they are left in the box that they oxidize - especially when the lining of the jewelry box is made of leather, which is treated with tannic acid.
Note that oxidation does not count as a reason for claims. Nor will you get your money back if jewelry oxidizes unusually quickly for your likes (this can vary individually). On some individuals, the oxidation process tends to occur faster than on others. Then you simply need to polish the jewelry a little more often!
