Every Keepsake Has a Story
Hi! I'm Addie, and I'm so glad you're here.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my little corner of Etsy. I'm truly glad you're here. Whether you're planning a wedding, remembering someone you love, celebrating a special milestone, or looking for a meaningful keepsake, I'm honored you're considering Stained Glass Addie to be a small part of your story.
The Story That Started It All
Several years ago, I attended a family wedding that changed my life in a way I never expected.
As the bride walked down the aisle, she was carrying both her beautiful bouquet and a framed photograph of her father. She nearly dropped the frame several times, and it was heartbreaking to watch.
I couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if she dropped it. Instead of remembering the joy of walking down the aisle, she would forever remember dropping the frame, the sound of breaking glass, and the possibility of losing the only photograph she had of her father.
The next morning, I woke up determined to create a better way for brides to honor the people they love.
That first Wedding Bouquet Memorial Charm was simple and far from perfect, but it came from the heart. To my surprise, it sold within the first hour after I listed it. More importantly, it helped me discover something I had been searching for...
My purpose.
Today, I've been blessed to create thousands of keepsakes for customers around the world. Although my product line has grown over the years, my purpose has remained the same.
I simply want to help people honor the memories of those they love.
Every Keepsake Begins with Your Story
Every custom keepsake begins with the photograph and memories you choose to share with me.
Before I begin, I carefully review your photo and make any minor enhancements that may be needed, such as improving color, sharpening details, or removing scratches from older photographs—helping make your loved one the true focus of your keepsake.
Once your photo is ready, I'll create a digital proof and send it to you through Etsy Messages. I won't begin creating your keepsake until you're completely happy with it because I want you to love it before it ever reaches my workbench.
Every keepsake has a story behind it. Sometimes my customers share those stories with me, and when they do, I consider it a privilege. Being trusted with someone's memories is something I never take for granted.
My Promise to You
I never want you to feel like just another order.
When you contact Stained Glass Addie, you'll always be communicating directly with me. Whether you need help choosing a photo, have questions about the process, or simply need a little guidance, I'm always happy to help.
The memories you entrust to me deserve nothing less than my very best, and that's exactly what I strive to give you, every time.
A Little About Me
In addition to creating keepsakes, I have a background in graphic design and photo restoration, allowing me to restore many older photographs before they become part of your keepsake.
On a personal note, I'm incredibly blessed to be married to my best friend. Together we've built a wonderful life with our beautiful daughter, an amazing son-in-law, and two precious grandchildren who bring so much joy to our family.
My faith in God has shaped who I am and reminds me every day to be thankful for the many blessings in my life. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, I've learned just how precious every day and every memory truly are. That perspective is something I carry with me into every keepsake I create.
The Greatest Joy of What I Do
One of the greatest joys of what I do is seeing the photos my customers send after their special day. Whether it's a bride carrying her bouquet with one of my memorial charms, a groom wearing a memorial lapel pin, or a loved one opening a keepsake that means the world to them, those moments remind me why I do what I do.
They truly make my heart happy.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my shop and get to know the heart behind Stained Glass Addie.
I hope I have the privilege of creating something you'll treasure for years to come.
Gratefully,
Addie
