The story behind The French Selection
My name is Debra French, I am the owner and artist behind theFrenchSelection. I absolutely love the art of creating stained glass. I am a self-taught stained glass artist located in a small southern town in Louisiana. Growing up in a family of creative, artistic people, I have always enjoyed the satisfaction gained through the creative process. I found my niche for creating stained glass art several years ago after a conversation with my Aunt while on an outing admiring stained glass windows in churches and old homes. I knew I wanted to create something as beautiful and inspiring so I started to research and began my journey. Creating stained glass art is truly a passion. To see my work displayed in homes and businesses is so rewarding and a large part of why I love what I do. I make pieces from small ornaments to transoms to full size windows. My husband Jeff creates all of my custom frames and is an integral part of theFrenchSelection. He is a true craftsman and does beautiful work. I am blessed to have his assistance and unwavering support. I have shipped my art all over the United States and as far as Ireland and Belgium. Some of my own unique creations are listed here in my Etsy store. I create many of my own patterns.... if you can dream it, there’s a really good chance I can cut it out of glass.
