Our kids at Hope Ranch of Missouri were given a real-life business opportunity to create a product and then implement the business plan which they developed to market and sell their product.
They have created items they believe the public may need or want and have learned how to calculate costs to manufacture, market and sell their items.
Once their item sells and has been shipped to the customer, the youth will receive their profit into their personal spending allowance account.
This “Entrepreneur Experiment” is part of our Youth Entrepreneurship Program to create interest in the economy and how small businesses operate.
The other section of our store, where we sell Hope Ranch of Missouri shirts and swag, also gives our kids the opportunity to earn money by creating items which have requested from our supporters and volunteers. Youth who help create and/or make these items know that the profits will be split two ways- Half to the kids who worked on the items and the other half goes to programs for the kids at the ranch, such as off-site activities and enrichment programs at the ranch.
History of Stamped with Hope 1.0- The original Etsy shop was opened in 2013 when the Hope Ranch of Missouri was still just a dream. All profits were used as seed money to start this 501(c)(3) organization. The shop has been on “vacation” for several years as we prepared to open the Hope Ranch and start serving youth in July 2022. It is now time to start a new chapter with this shop and teach a new generation how to reach for their dreams.
