My work owes a great deal to the technicolor cinema of the 30's-60's with the greatest debt being to the tri-color process employed by artists such as Cecil Beaton and Madame Yevonde. My work fluctuates from images of isolation to images of intimacy, sometimes within a single frame. They are about color, whimsy, isolation, intimacy, innovation and cinema. I produce pure Hollywood confection.
A contributing photographer for the LA and OC Weekly, Star's work has also graced the cover of the Village Voice and Pasadena Magazine, and been featured in Rue Magazine, Los Angeles Confidential, Fierce Magazine, Latino Leaders, and INStyle Australia.
