5 out of 5 starsI really like all the digital papers I purchased. Each set is a bit different in texture from others I’ve gotten in the past (in a good way)!

Frequently asked questions
What is your commercial use policy?
Any digital item you purchase from Starlight Turtle allows for personal and commercial use. There are no other licenses to purchase.
Items can be used in physical or digital form in your own creations. You must use them in or on an item (digital or physical) that you have created yourself.
Please do not resell, give away, redistribute, repackage or share any of my creations as they are. You must use them within your own creations and designs.
Attribution is not required, but appreciated if you feel the need or want to 😊
Do you offer returns?
I do not offer returns on digital items. However, if there is a problem with your order, please let me know and I will do everything I can to make it right.
How do I download my digital purchase?
While signed into your account, go to Purchases and Reviews and choose Download Files.
If you bought the item(s) as a guest a link to your downloads should be in your receipt email.
Please note that some of the files I offer are too large for Etsy’s file restrictions of 20MB per file. In this case, the files are stored on a file sharing site such as DropBox or Mediafire. The download from Etsy will be a PDF containing a link to your files. Just follow the link and choose download.
In case there are issues with the download, I can send the files via email per your permission.
Most files will come in a .ZIP file. They will need to be extracted once downloaded.
What is the difference between PPI and DPI?
PPI refers to Pixels Per Inch. For example, 300 PPI means there are 300 pixels per inch in the image. DPI refers to Dots Per Inch, for printing purposes. The term PPI is often used for digital images for screen display and DPI for ones that can be printed. The two are somewhat interchangeable since PPI does affect print quality.
Most of my images are 300 DPI/PPI for printing.
The resolution can be reduced for digital projects if needed.
Can the textures from Starlight Turtle be printed?
Yes! They can be printed. They are high enough resolution at 300 DPI unless otherwise stated in the listing. However, depending on your needs, the images may need to be adjusted to suit your printing method and medium. I create and save my images in RGB so they may need to be converted to CMYK depending on your printing method.
Please be aware that colors may vary from screen to print, especially highly saturated colors and darker colors.
If you need any of my textures or images in CMYK, let me know! 😊
Why the name Starlight Turtle
I’ve always been a daydreamer lost in my imagination making up stories rich with different characters and worlds. One of the stories was about a little turtle named Matilda, who loved looking up at the stars in wonder. She was often comforted and amazed by the glow of starlight.
The little turtle in my logo is Matilda, The Starlight Turtle.
How do you create your images or textures?
I often mix many different media and methods together to create the final image or texture. I sometimes use images in the public domain as references. Many of my digital textures or papers are procedurally generated, meaning I use an app or program to create the texture from scratch using different filters, layer effects, and hand drawn elements.
I use many different programs such as Photoshop, GIMP, Krita and Rebelle just to name a few.
