About

Jack of All Trades

Hello everyone! My name is Laura Ducros and I started this back in 2005. I started selling my wears at flea markets and events in Colorado. It wasn't until 2009 that I found out about Etsy. Since then I started posted some of my items, primarily Pride things. Then it slowly evolved into what it is today.

Now I spend my time working on this and selling at conventions. Since I am based out of Louisiana, most of the events I attend are in the Southern US but I've sold at events as far northeast as Baltimore, southeast as Fort Lauderdale, west as Vegas, and such. I love traveling.

I am a self-taught artisan. Most of the things I posted I learned how to do by myself. Which includes learning how to crochet, knit, and do leatherwork. I just see something and replicate it. I'm a very visual person so even the colors have to be spot on.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my four-legged children (2 dogs and 2 cats) and playing video games. I love watching Doctor Who, Sherlock, My Little Pony, and Mythbusters. I am an avid cosplayer and propmaker. I primarily make costumes from Mass Effect since that is my favorite game ever. If you are ever curious to see what I've done, I have them all here - https://www.facebook.com/RebelAmongTheStars

I thank you for supporting me, this shop, and any artist!

Welcome to Stars & Spikes! My name is Laura Ducros and I am the artist and crafter here. When I'm not crafting geeky wares, I'm creating costumes to wear at my table/booth at conventions. Many might have met me there.

I am the only one making every single item in my shop so sometimes things might take a little longer to create. I put a lot of love and time into all of my crafts. I'm a huge geek and wanted to make geeky things to wear to conventions, around the home, and out for errands. There's no greater feeling than a stranger recognizing one of my geeky wares. It's like uniting people together based on their fandoms!

I'm always working on new things and open to new ideas. So if there is anything you're looking to have crafted, send me a message!

I am not responsible for lost packages. I will do everything I can to help find the package and such but once it is in the hands of USPS, it is unfortunately out of my control. If you have a lost package, please contact USPS via their website, phone number, or at their local branch with the tracking number I post with your order.
