If you remember the 70's and Popular Mechanics magazine, this, along with other Stevenson Projects, was one of those weird yet fun DIY marine vessel projects that appeared back then. Sportfoil was definitely an oddity. And finding plans was difficult until the advent of internet. Now it's back and available at a decent price. The "plans" are a PDF download and can be reprinted to a larger scale if one desires. I myself am planning to redraw this critter as a forward-facing solo & a two person sitting side-by-side with an enclosed cabin ala Hydrocat, another Stevenson Projects design. If you're into DIY plywood boat projects with a smidge of tweaking, then this is your ticket. Hydrocat plans are available from Stevenson Projects.
