A Good Idea Sometimes Takes Time to Become Great
Back in 2011, I set out to solve the age-old problem of scattered cat litter all over my floors. I found a pretty good solution in an old cleanroom mat. I resized it, added features to make it more functional, and launched our first sticky cat litter mat. It worked amazing well at grabbing and holding on to the litter. But, we learned an important lesson: lots cats don’t like sticky things!
So I put my dreams of a revolutionary cat litter mat aside for a bit, but was constantly thinking of a litter mat that could harness the power of sticky technology while also making cats’ paws happy. And since I was already fantasizing, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if it was pretty, too?”
In 2025, the impossible became possible! Together with some input from those near and dear to me -- both human and feline alike--we figured out how to blend sticky technology with paw-friendly softness, keeping floors spotless and feline feet happy. And because I now know that function should never come at the expense of style, I hand make our mats to be as attractive as they are effective. Welcome to the Stikitty Two, which enables stylish homes and happy cats to coexist beautifully.
