Listed below are common dimensions, in inches, for framing Prints in the sizes I offer. It's not an absolute so your mileage may vary. We've all seen those smaller Prints surrounded by very large white mats. Usually they work very well. If you like a particular Print, mat and frame combination that doesn't fit the common sizes run with it ! Also consider poster framing, with no mat at all for larger sizes. On multiple print groupings I frequently use one standard size frame and mat color combination, changing the mat opening to fit different size prints

Print Size: 13x19, Mat Opening: 12.5x18.5, Frame Size: 18x24

My shop prints borders on all prints. Borderless printing is not available. Typically the border size is about 1/4 inch

For Bordered Prints:
Paper Size 8 x 10 - Average print image size 7.5 x 9.5
Paper Size 11 x 14 - Average print image size 10.5 x 13.5
Paper Size 13 x 19 - Average print image size 12.5 x 18.5

If you need an odd size for the actual image area on a print let me know. We can always work with your size requirements.

You have three paper options for your Prints: Luster (default), Matte or Metallic

My default paper is Moab Juniper Baryta Rag 305 , a crisp, minimally textured semi gloss paper that produces sharp and bold colors

The matte paper is Red River 64lb Aurora Art Natural, a matte finish premium presentation paper. It has a semi-smooth warmer finish and produces more subdued colors.

I am also offering Red River Polar Luster Metallic. Images will take on a brilliant, almost luminescent quality. Everything from landscapes to birds will look bold, more saturated, more intense.

All papers are American made

The mat look with the shadow on it is not part of the print. It's there to help visualize a compatibly colored or textured wall underneath a print. It also presents the print better and helps it standout more. Note, not all of my Prints have the under mat display feature.

Some prints look a little awkward and cramped in the standard 8x10, 11x14, or 13x19 inch format. I can make any print to those standard sizes but they may not have the same dramatic effect, the overall scale may be off or some important edge details may be lost. So, that 8x10 you ordered may not look that pleasing when you receive the print. Printing the non standard size, the 8x10 is now maybe a 7x10" or 5.5x10" and will be more aesthetically pleasing. I will contact you when I think this might happen and we can make the best size decision for your requirements.

Some of my customers have told me that the prints they look at sometimes appear dull, with little richness in color. As you would expect, I post my images developed on my monitor and it may not be calibrated for brightness and color richness as your monitor is. If you are considering purchasing a print and you think the color is off and not quite to your taste contact me and I will rework the image to meet your expectation. This, of course, is necessary for the printed image to closely match the image you will see on your monitor. Note also that the expanded thumbnail images are brighter then the first image you see with the listing. And, as always, you can return your print for reprinting if you are not satisfied with the color rendering
