ABOUT STONE TO STORY
Curated minerals and field guides from Nevada
Stone to Story is rooted in Nevada and shaped by time in the field. I curate authentic mineral specimens and field guides that reflect a deep respect for place, practice, and provenance.
Each mineral specimen is hand selected for its color, locality, and natural character — from deep blue azurite and rich green malachite to turquoise, jasper, copper minerals, and one of a kind regional finds. These are not mass sourced stones or factory polished imports. Every piece is chosen individually, with intention.
I source specimens through personal fieldwork, including material collected from my own Nevada mining claims, as well as through trusted local miners and established Nevada rock shops with verified provenance. Locality matters here. Every stone carries a geological and human history, and care is taken to ensure that story is accurate, respected, and preserved.
Stone to Story is also home to The Basin Binder, a collection of field guides and planning tools created from real time spent exploring, documenting, and learning in the American Basin and Range. These guides are designed to support thoughtful preparation, realistic expectations, and meaningful engagement with the landscape.
Together, the stones and the guides reflect the same philosophy — that connection to the Earth comes not just from what we collect, but from how we move through the field, observe carefully, and respect the places we visit.
Whether you are a collector, a geology enthusiast, or someone drawn to the quiet beauty of natural materials, you will find pieces here that are authentic, limited, and curated with care. Every specimen is packaged thoughtfully and accompanied by story driven documentation that honors its origin.
Every piece offered here is born of place and practice.
