Our Story
Hello and welcome to Studio 8 to 10.
What's with the shop name?
We were proud parents of a very active son who was naturally drawn towards anything dangerous or messy. Its actually impressive how quickly he was able to identify and seek out objects that fit into these categories very early on. This created a small dilemma when oil paints and wood stains are part of what you enjoy.
Studio8to10 started with my wife's paintings, which she always painted once our son went down for bed and before we turned in for the night. She paints for fun and Etsy was a way get paid to do what she loved doing.
After a move from SoCal to NC, I became a stay at home dad after 16+ years managing restaurants, and needed an outlet. After making a few tables and desk for the new house, I started making decor items for my wife and she suggested putting it in the shop as well...and the rest is history. Since I like my neighbors, I don't use the power tools after our son goes to bed....but the name was set and here we are.
