Return Policy; How does it work if I want to return an item?

We do not accept returns or refund.

My packaged was mark as ''delivered'' but, I didn't get it?

When the tracking tool indicates that a package was successfully delivered, it means the item arrived as addressed. Some addresses do not have deliveries directly to your door; please check a second location such as a mail room, community mailbox, front desk, or safe drop location.

If your order is marked as delivered but you did not receive it, you need to file a claim with the courier using your tracking number. The courier will contact you to confirm delivery details and complete their investigation. We’re here to support you throughout the process and will help with any documents required from our side.

A refund can be issued after the courier approves the insured claim.

I received the wrong products, what can I do?

You must inspect your order upon reception and contact us within the next 48 hours if you receive the wrong item. You can send us a direct message and must provide a description with photographic evidence of the products and its packaging so we can validate.

My order arrived broken, what can I do?

Occasional damage can occur during transit, despite being beyond our control. In the rare event that a package arrives damaged, the courier requires the recipient to file the insurance claim directly. This is mandatory, as the courier must verify the damage with the person who received the parcel.

If your order arrives damaged, please take clear photos and file a damage claim with the courier. They will request proof directly from you to process the insurance reimbursement. We’re here to support you throughout the process and will help with any documents required from our side.

Once the courier confirms the validity of the claim, we will either proceed with a refund or replacement of the damaged item.

My order was returned to sender, what can I do? (Part 1)

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Orders returned to sender due to incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses are not eligible for free reshipment or a full refund and the customer MUST contact us to make arrangements.

If you choose a refund:
Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping fees are assumed to be equal to the original shipping cost and will be deducted from the item refund using the original shipping amount. If these fees exceed the item value, no refund will be issued.

If you choose reshipment:
The customer must pay both the return-to-sender fees and the cost of a new shipping label.

My order was returned to sender, what can I do? (Part 2)

If a returned-to-sender package includes an option to refuse or not pay the return fees, Studio Akiyo will choose this option. In this case, the parcel will be disposed of by the courier and no refund will be issued, as the carrier fees cannot be recovered.

Why is it the customer that needs to open a claim?

Couriers require the recipient to open loss or damage claims because they must verify the issue directly with the person who received (or did not receive) the package. Even if we start the claim as the sender, the courier pauses the process and contacts the customer to request the proof they need — such as photos, delivery confirmation, or a written statement.

Having the recipient file the claim from the start avoids delays and ensures the courier can process the insured reimbursement quickly. Once the claim is submitted, we provide all supporting documents on our end and issue a refund or replacement as soon as the courier approves the claim.
