Fashion Student Turned Full-Time Artist
In May of 2020, I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Apparel and Textile Design. So, yes, I was one of "those" who graduated during a pandemic with little to no idea of what to do next. I've always loved doodling and making fashion illustrations and would share them on my Instagram Stories just to show to friends. With loads of support, an interest in starting a business, and a painting of a cowgirl smoking a cigarette, I decided to launch StudioMetz! I've loved being able to channel my creativity into each art print combining various mediums such as hand-drawn illustrations, digital illustration, and photography.
The subject of many of my art prints are musicians and songs that I love. I believe that our homes should represent our personal style and interests, and that our music taste shares so much about who we are. I wanted to create pieces that celebrate and display that song that you can't help but dance to, or the one that reminds you of that road trip you took with your bestfriend. I'm constantly creating and expanding my collection, and can't wait to share a piece of my home with you!
