Authentic Beauty, Chosen in Japan
I lived overseas for several years.
Sometimes I saw Japanese things like earrings, bags, or small accessories. They looked pretty, but I could tell the fabric or materials were not really special. Of course, I understand why. It is not easy to find or choose from many authentic Japanese textiles when you live outside Japan.
That is one reason I opened this shop after returning to Japan and leaving my office job.
I want people to see and touch authentic kimono.
I think my biggest strength is that I live here in Japan. I can actually go out, use my own feet, and look with my own eyes.
But even in Japan, not every kimono is beautiful. There are many ordinary ones too.
So I carefully choose only the pieces that really stand out.
I also have my own taste.
I love gorgeous, elegant, rich colors and beautiful patterns. If I don't feel "Wow!", I don't buy it.
I believe beautiful things don't need many words.
It is like sports, music, or art. Even if we speak different languages, we can still be moved.
I think beauty is something people all over the world can feel.
I know it is not easy to choose from photos only.
So I try to take photos in natural light and keep them as real as possible, without too much editing. I also upload videos because I want you to see the real colors and texture.
