I think we all have an innate desire to "fit in" with the crowd, but a lot of us also have a strong desire to be set apart, to look different or have a unique style. I grew up in Africa and moved to Iowa when I was little and no matter where I went, I was always different. So, I decided at a very young age to embrace my uniqueness and wear clothes that emphasized my personality and my style.
Over the past several years, I've had a lot of fun trying out different personas and fashions by buying very affordable vintage clothes and allowing my style to evolve with the seasons of life (and the climate).
