Are you the artist?
Yes. Every item in this shop is designed and drawn by Julia (that's me!), an artist based in New Jersey.
How do you make your items?
It starts by making art and preparing a digital file that I send to my manufacturer. I have help from professional print shops, textile factories, and similar shops that create the items for me. Once the items arrive to my studio, I check each item for quality and add branding and packaging. All orders are shipped by me.
How did you come up with the shop name?
"Such Good Birds" comes from a phrase that I often say whenever I encounter a bird, either in the wild or as a pet. I maintain that every bird is at the pinnacle of beauty, perfection, and goodness at every moment. To me, anything a bird does is delightful and they can do no wrong. Especially, I'm inspired by the antics of city birds like pigeons and crows and seeing them always makes my day. In February 2020 I changed my shop name from "Julia Hut Shop" to "Such Good Birds" to reflect a shift toward focusing on bird themed products.
