I've had the opportunity for world travel and have lived many places in the United States with my husband Dan and son Caleb. In 2005, I moved with my family to South Korea for two years. It was a great experience.

From South Korea it's just two hours by air to Beijing, China. In Beijing I was introduced to all the wonderfully affordable and lustrous pearls available there. As an artist, my eyes were opened to the limitless jewelry design possibilities of pearls and natural gemstones.

Once I returned to South Korea, I learned the art of stringing pearls in the classic style. I was also able to purchase gemstone beads and quality findings at the historic Dongdaemun Market in Seoul. A family trip to the "lost temples in the jungle" at Siem Reap, Cambodia (Angkor) offered further inspiration. At first I just made designs for myself, but when my pieces started selling right off my neck, a business was born!

My design philosophy is that the Creator is the ultimate artist. I am inspired by the luster of pearls and endlessly fascinated by natural gemstones and metals. I feel there is no need for fussy, trendy designs that tend to obscure what is naturally so magnificent. My designs focus on the materials and what looks flattering on the wonderful women who wear them. My practical nature insures that my pieces actually work and will last through years of wear.

Shop policies

If you are purchasing items as gifts I'm happy to help out with gift wrap and messages. Just provide me with all the details at the time of order. I like helping with surprises!

Please do not order one color or length or type of gemstone, etc and then ask for a different one in the notes to seller at checkout. If an item is in stock, it will be listed in my shop already and may be a different price. If you would like a custom item, please contact me by Etsy conversation.

Jewelry should be measured for and fitted just like clothing. You can use a piece of string to find the perfect length for necklaces, anklets and bracelets and then measure that to find length prior to ordering.

Wholesale orders will not receive complimentary jewelry pouches and boxes or gift wrap, but may ask for hang cards for earring displays.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
You can choose from payment with Etsy Direct Checkout or Paypal. I will never see any of your credit card information. You will check out using Etsy or Paypal's secure service.

Virginia residents will pay 6% sales tax.
If your order is a gift order to be sent to a secondary address, please use that address as the ship to address and let me know it is a gift in "Message to Seller" at checkout.

Place separate orders for items going to different addresses.

Buyers are responsible for all custom fees, duties and taxes associated with their home country. ALL CUSTOMS FORMS WILL BE MARKED AS MERCHANDISE. There are no exceptions. International orders must go through Customs and can take weeks to arrive (generally 15-45 days). I do not guarantee delivery dates. I reserve the right to cancel very large International shipments unless buyer upgrades to Priority Shipping so that tracking and insurance can be added. I have no way of knowing how long your country will take to process the package through customs and deliver it. Certain countries such as Italy and Poland prohibit importation of jewelry. I cannot ship to those countries.
Refunds and Exchanges

If you are not satisfied with your order for any reason, return within 30 days from date of purchase for a full refund of the price of the item or an exchange if you prefer. Refunds for custom orders will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Items must be returned in original, new condition. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable except in the event that I sent you a defective or incorrect item. It is best to insure your return as I am not responsible for lost or misdirected items. Obtain return authorization by phone or e-mail before sending so I know to expect your return. Use conscientious packing procedure. Do not return items in a business envelope. Enclose the packing slip or your contact information so the refund is properly credited to you. Please, do not hesitate to contact me if you have a question. Your satisfaction is very important to me.

If you have had an item break, I will do repairs if possible. If the 30 day return period is up, I will determine if there is a charge depending on circumstances and you must pay postage both ways. I work hard to make jewelry that is meant to last.

I work with natural materials which may have inherent flaws. I do my best to describe and photograph items accurately.

I use classic stringing techniques. Stringing materials will stretch over time. Therefore, I knot everything just a little "tight." After a few uses items will relax and hang beautifully.

My designs are hand-crafted and packaged in my smoke and pet free studio.

God Bless, Sue Runyon
