Who is SulaCole and what is patina jewelry?
Hi, I'm Ursula, welcome to my shop, SulaCole.
Adorn yourself with unique hand finished patina jewelry including verdigris and oxidized brass pendant necklaces, animal jewelry, nature, ocean and floral themed pieces. I do all my own oxidizing and patina finishes in house, by hand, and love creating cool and different pieces for you! Patina finishes are created with a chemical process and are not painted on, except where metal paint is used and noted as accent color. This is fashion jewelry, a great way to add a bit of fun to your wardrobe at affordable pricing!
Here is what to expect from jewelry made with stamped brass/copper and plated metal components in my shop. Most pendants and dangles are made from raw brass stampings, they tend to be lightweight to wear, but not easy to bend. Many pieces are hollow-backed or shell-backed; due to the stamping process. Thickness or weight varies and some pieces are more solid, not having the stamped look, which I make note of in the individual item listing details. All of the brass and copper that I sell will be finished on all sides, as either lacquer sealed patina, sealed raw brass, or plated brass, including pendants, dangles, chain and earring hooks. Fashion jewelry, sometimes called costume jewelry, needs gentle care and cleaning. Removal before activities such as sleeping, swimming, bathing, or other immersion in water, and avoiding harsh jewelry cleaners meant for other types of metals is recommended. Clean by gently wiping with a soft cloth.
Items come from a non-smoking environment.
A bit about me:
I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my husband, our daughters, our cats, and our bearded dragon. I began making jewelry in 2003 and am self-taught. I started with beaded jewelry as so many of us do and I still have a shop where I sell my beaded creations called OnePrettyDaisy. I have a great interest in creating quality fashion jewelry using unique components and enjoy sourcing interesting pendants, charms, beads and even vintage supplies.
And, finally, a big thank you to all my customers!!! I personally make, photograph, package and ship your items to you and am honored to be able to provide a quality product for my customers all over the world. Every customer matters to me. Thank you for supporting my artistry!
