YOU FOUND US!

Welcome to DAUGHTERS OF THE SUN...,

our brand Daughters of the Sun was created to celebrate the brilliance, beauty, resilience, etc., of Black women and girls. Too often, the world asks them to shrink—but we believe in shining unapologetically.

Founded by poet Lee Claiborne, a writer who deeply admires and honors the very essence of Black women and girls, our brand infuses original poetry into every product—journals, t-shirts, tumblers, and posters—crafted to affirm, uplift, and inspire.

The sun doesn’t ask permission to shine, and neither should you. Every design is intentional, every word speaks life, and every piece is made with you in mind. Because representation isn’t just important—it’s necessary.

You were never meant to dim your light; not even to comfort the eyes of others.

Shine on.

10 out of 10 would definitely recommend I’m a repeat buyer. I chose this specifically for the poem that spoke to me on the front. It powers me every time I pick it up to write notes or journal in it. I also love that the pages are perforated so if you need to tear out a page you can.
