Hello, my name is Kate. Since childhood I have been interested in nature, I liked plants and liked to read books about animals. I was born into a family of biologists. My grandfather was a Professor of Botany at the University. My father and mother are biologists. Father often took me into the wood and told interesting facts about the plants. My parents thought I would follow in their footsteps and also will be a biologist. But I wanted to create and chose the profession of designer.
I studied interior and furniture design, then worked in this field for about 6 years. No, it's not a boring job! Quite the contrary! But all the time I was drawn to working with flowers. I started to dry flowers when I was a student. I tried different drying techniques for flowers and then used them to decorate gift wrapping for family and friends. It was my hobby. But in 2016, I decided that this could be a full-time job, I began to study the floral design and created Sunny Gift.
Aesthetics, minimalism, ecology are important for me and what I try to follow in my work. I'm inspired by nature, the uniqueness of each flower, each branch. There are no identical flowers or leaves in nature, so each artwork is unique.
