SuperSugarRayRay, not for the faint of heart.
SuperSugarRayRay has been a San Francisco based fashion designer since 2006.
Known by everyone as RayRay, she loves finding the boldest, brightest and most fun prints and colored fabric for her designs. Everything is limited edition using high quality, natural fibers and deadstock fabrics wherever possible. All her designs are manufactured in small batches in San Francisco where she pays her workers a living wage.
When she got a dog during the pandemic, she began a line of dog clothes called Disco Dog that are as fun and practical for dogs as her clothes for humans.
She has been passionate about sustainability since she was a young teenager who helped begin the "Earth Club" which started a recycling program at her high school. That passion is still evident in her business today, reflected in her use of deadstock fabrics, natural fibers, recycled and compostable packing, manufacturing locally, and not over-producing or consuming.
She is inspired by festivals, international travels and her big community of makers, designers, artists and dance floor dreamers in the Bay Area.
She believes in creating pieces that last and are cherished, avoiding the trappings of fast fashion and disposable culture.
