From Attic To Studio
I am unable to currently make enough on Etsy to make it worth the costs. I will be striking (on vacation mode) the week of April 11-18 and will probably be moving my sales to my website (link below) and removing my shop from Etsy. It's been a great run, but I'm now competing with actual foreign factories using low-cost labor and being charged exorbitant fees while Etsy has become a corporation with shareholders and is no longer the handmade market it was.
I originally started my shop in 2008 to show and sell my stash of vintage jewelry and paper ephemera and the odd interesting chocolate mold. It took me a while to begin selling my original art and crafts on Etsy.
I began adding original collages, prints, and small paintings to my Etsy mix.
Recently, I've included hand-block printed baby clothes and hand-sewn kitchen items made from self-designed fabric.
This shop now features original art, handmade crafts, and printed products exclusively. I treasure the connections I've made with people all over the world.
