In the beginning: I began making jewelry when my kids first asked me to have a booth at their elementary school fair over 20 years ago. I'd always done lots of crafting, having been an art teacher for a number of years. My daughter kept leaving her puzzle pieces around the house so I started making earrings with them - called the product line 'Recyclewear' and showed them at that show.

Today I continue that tradition of making puzzle piece earrings (after a 15 year hiatus) but I donate a % of what I earn to an Autism group since the logo for autism is a puzzle piece!

Next product happened when I lost my first pair of 'real' eyeglasses. I had been wearing an eyeglass chain but those dumb plastic holders stretched out, the glasses fell out. I put them on my head, then...who knows where. I decided to make my own and searched til I found the perfect gripper- a clip with rubber inserts that don't damage the wire or plastic frames....

Each piece I create reflects my background as a graphic designer. As I create, I'm looking at everything from color, to shape, texture and weight of each item that is being used and how it balances in the whole.
