How do you recommend cleaning my bolster? Are they machine washable?
The organic cotton twill fabric used for our EZread bolsters is machine washable (cold water/line dry). However, it will require you to empty the loosely filled buckwheat hulls before doing so and then refilling it when dry. While easy enough most find using a spot cleaner to be more convenient. Here’s a homemade surface cleaner that we find works well on all but the toughest stains.
Natural Surface Cleaner (Homemade)
• Fill Spray Bottle with 2 Cups of Warm Water
• Add ½ Teaspoon Dish Washing Liquid (Recommend 7th Generation Unscented)
• Add 5-10 Drops of Essential Oils (Recommend Tea Tree for its cleaning and disinfecting properties and a Citrus Oil for its fragrance and grease cutting property)
• Spray Surface and Wipe with Damp Cloth.
What about the yoga mat carrier? Is it machine washable as well?
Because of the metal components the Swadeshi Yoga mat carrier is not machine washable. We recommend using a spot cleaner like the homemade surface cleaner suggested for the EZread bolster.
What type of wood is used for the wooden ledges used on the EZread Bolster Stand?
The wooden ledges are made by a custom mill works who uses reclaimed remnants of mahogany, cherry, oak, fur, and pine. After they are milled they are sanded and finished with a dusting of a clear catalyzed lacquer so that the unique grain and color of each piece is preserved. This component by itself is a fine example of local craftsmanship.
