All my life, I have loved nature and loved art. However, after graduating college with a computer science degree and getting a full time job, art fell by the wayside a little.

Then, at the age of 25, I found myself with a broken hip after a surgery went wrong. After a year on crutches and another failed surgery, I was in a pretty dark place. To get my mind off the situation, I took up crochet.

One day, while searching for ideas for my next project, I stumbled on tapestry crochet. I loved the idea of painting a picture with a crochet hook. However, I couldn't find any patterns that I loved.

Distraction evolved into inspiration. I couldn't be the only one looking for crochet patterns like this. I dived into creating my first three patterns, and opened up shop.

At the moment, my hip is still broken, but creating beautiful things with a crochet hook inspires me to appreciate every day.
