You have found a place where stories take many forms. Some are bound in pages, some stitched by hand, some worn close to the heart. Each piece in this shop is created with care, intention, and a quiet devotion to craft.

This shop was previously known as Swans Crossing and is now Nafisa Khan Designs. The change reflects my journey over the past two years as an author.

A lifelong bookworm, I turned to writing after a life changing event in 2023, finding healing and peace as my creative journey grew into self-published novels, children’s books, and other non-fiction writings.

May you find peace in what is written, stitched, and made with care.

This was a special order for my daughter who LOVES the masks I had ordered other stock ones from the shop previously. She need some solid gray masks for dance and we were lucky enough to get a custom order of 5. The ones we had purchased in the past are my daughter’s go to choice above all other masks. She loves the soft liner fabric, the cute cover fabrics and they fit her just right. So excited to have received this custom order, they look great and I can’t wait for my daughter to get home and try them out!!!

Where Stories Are Written, Stitched, and Carried

My work brings stories into the world through words, fabric, and handcraft. I write novels and create talismans, embroidered pieces, fabric book bags, and paper goods, each made slowly and with intention.

I am drawn to the meeting of story and texture, to the quiet places where memory lingers. An idea often begins on the page, then finds its way into thread, cloth, and carefully chosen materials. I work by hand, guided by patience, intuition, and a reverence for the unseen weight objects can carry.

Every item in this shop is created by me, from the first design to the final stitch or page. Nothing is rushed. Each piece is a labor of love, shaped in stillness, meant to be held, worn, read, or kept close.

This work is for those who believe stories do not end when the book closes, and that some things are meant to travel with us. Thank you for being here.
