I left the corporate world of sales for a sweeter life !
After years of working in the corporate b2b environment and running a team of sales people, I decided that sales meetings, KPI’s and one to one meetings were not what I wanted to spend my life doing on a daily basis.
So I decided to start doing something else in my spare time with a view to growing it slowly and steadily. I started small and began making sweet favours for local friends and then sold these on Etsy worldwide whilst still holding down a full time job and with two young children.
Eventually, after a couple of years, and redundancy looming, I took a leap of faith and decided to sell confectionery full time.
Initially it was very events based and I had regular clients I would ‘pop up’ at in order to sell pic n mix to staff as an ‘employee reward’ I then designed and built my own website and started selling online offering a local and posted delivery service which has been extremely successful.
In May 2020, when everyone else was working from home, I took the plunge and signed a lease on business premises where myself and a small team of people now run Sweets To Yours delivering pick n mix to the nation!
