A journey in creativity with glass and wire
My first experience with jewelry started when I was about 12 and my Dad bought me a name pin. I loved the way the wire twisted and turned and formed into something recognizable. I was hooked, especially looking at the wire artists other items like gemstone jewelry. I knew I wanted to do that someday. As time went on and I needed special presents for Christmas for my music students I started making wire jewelry. That was it for me. I dug in and spent countless hours working on learning to make one of a kind jewelry.

The lampwork beadmaking started when I was about 15. I was at our local fair when I watched a glass worker form a beautiful pyrex rod. It was totally amazing. Again, it was something I knew I would learn someday. It took me until the mid 1990's to find the time and a book to learn from to get started making lampwork glass beads. I am self taught and for the first year or two I spent at least 6-8 hours a day working on my skills.
Then as time went on I began to combine the crafts and the possibilities are endless.
I started a local retail bead store but it took too much time from teaching private music lessons so I moved it all online and we were broken into a few times so here we are, online only at this time ;)
My Etsy store will have premade lampwork bead sets, wire, findings and manufactured beads. Some wire jewelry and gemstone jewelry as well as other handmade items.
I hope you find something you like. I take great pleasure in making unique one of a kind items although I've learned how to get close in duplication for some of my beads. Since they are made individually they are not the same each time but as close as I can get!
Thanks for looking and taking the time to read this. ;) Sylvia
