Please be aware that we begin working on your custom tag within 24-48 hours after your order is placed. If you need to make any changes or corrections to your order, you may do so until the engraving process begins. But to ensure accuracy and manage high order volumes, if you need to make changes to the personalized information, you will need to cancel the original order and place a new one with the corrected information. However, please keep in mind that cancellations are only possible before the engraving starts.

Due to a very heavy order volume, I am unable to take on any custom orders at this time. But for when I can take on custom orders those details are below:

If you have a graphic that you'd like to see on a tag and you own the copyright or are legally allowed to use it, please feel to contact me to see if it will work on a tag. Images should be high resolution and black and white two-toned only, with no grey scale. The minimum fee for custom engraving with your own image is $15 in addition to the price of the tag but may be higher depending on what needs to be done to the image and the size of the tag.

I do not offer actual custom artwork design due to order volume, time constrictions, and the rate I would have to charge for it. I'm a perfectionist and it can take hours to fine-tune my final artwork for designs, which would come with a pretty unreasonable price for a pet tag. Although if you have a request, please feel free to shoot me a message. I'd love to hear your ideas and if I get enough requests for a certain type of design, it may become something I make in the future.

All of our tags are made-to-order and have a 5-business day processing time (one week). The time required to make your order includes customizing the graphics with your pet's name, engraving both sides, darkening the recessed areas of the tags for visibility, and a couple day finishing process to clean up rough edges left after engraving and to make the darkening really pop.

Please note that business days do not include weekends or public holidays. On occasions when your order is placed close to a holiday period, the processing time may be extended, and your ship date pushed back accordingly. EX: If you place an order the week before a public holiday on the following Monday, your order will ship a week and 1 day from your order date.

Because all tags are personalized, unfortunately, we cannot offer returns. But if there is any mistake on our end, rest assured we guarantee to fix it and reship the item at no cost to you. But please be aware that you must let us know of the error within 30 days of delivery.

This guarantee does not apply to buyer errors.

We know that mistakes happen, and we want you to be able to use your tag. So, if there is a spelling error or typo on your end, we gladly offer a one-time discount tag replacement option. Just ship the tag with the mistake back to us postmarked within 14 days of delivery. And once we get it back, we will issue a 50% coupon for the same tag design for you for 50% off the normal retail price. The coupon will be good for 14 days from when we issue it. Please know we cannot offer a replacement discount for spelling errors if you choose to keep the tag, if it's past the 14-day mark, or if you want a different tag design.

All orders under $250 are covered by Etsy's Purchase Protection program. It's sort of like a package insurance that all sellers are paying into. This means that if your order is lost in transit or shows as delivered but you have not received it, then you are protected.

No, we do not use stainless steel. Because we actually laser engrave our tags (which removes metal), rather than just marking the surface, stainless steel isn't a great choice. The reason stainless steel is rust resistant is because of an oxide layer that forms during a factory process called passivation. When you disturb this oxide layer, such as by engraving, you remove what makes the metal rust resistant. And since the oxide layer doesn't form as fast on its own, it is more prone to rusting. We tested different metals quite a bit before deciding on what we currently offer, and for a silver-colored metal, nickel was found to be the best choice. It is still a very hard metal, but it doesn't contain iron and therefore it can't rust.
