Making the perfect car stickers.

The shop started in spring of 2012 basically out of frustration. I was looking for a Canadian flag car sticker. It needed to be something simple, plain, good size (not too big), and designer-looking. I've looked at online auction sites, other random sticker sites, and wasn't happy with what I've found.

All stickers were too big, had a white border around them, holographic silliness, or came in a strange wavy patter. Most of all, none of the designers considered where the sticker will be placed on your car. Let's face it, if you did buy a car sticker, when you try to attach it, you will look for a spot where it should fit. Most stickers don't fit nicely! In general, if you talk to most people, they don't like cars stickers, they have a bad rep for not fitting properly, having borders, and generally being badly designed.

So why aren't car stickers designed to fit to your car? They too get attached to your car like car parts. Then my part time hobby became designing fitted car stickers.

To get the right shape and look, designing the stickers took almost a year working using CorelDraw X6, with input from friends and family. Went through tons of drawings and prototypes.

I've called the stickers tailribbons, and they are designed to fit under a horizontal line on the back of a car (which most cars have).

Tailribbons are printed by company called StickerRobot, a professional silkscreen manufacturer in Woodacre, California (San Francisco Bay Area). Tailribbons are then sent back to us in Canada where they are cut by hand, packaged and shipped.
