Live Plant Guarantee

We ship living plants. Minor cosmetic issues can happen in transit, even with careful packing (damp paper towel, original cup/flask). Our guarantee is that your plant arrives alive.

What’s Covered

Live arrival. If your plant arrives truly non-viable, we’ll make it right with store credit or a replacement at our discretion, as long as you follow the reporting steps below.

What’s Not Covered

Cosmetic transit damage. The following do not qualify as a dead plant:

A fallen or damaged leaf

Minor bruising, bent leaves, or slight dehydration from shipping

Small pieces of media/paper towel displacement
These are normal in live-plant shipping and do not affect long-term health.
No heat pack in cold weather. If temperatures along the route are cold and no heat pack was purchased, the order is not covered, even within the 24-hour window. In cold months, we recommend you add a heat pack.
Please note that the heat pack is NOT intended to act as blanket shipping insurance; we will not replace any order simply because the customer has purchased a heat pack. It is the buyer’s responsibility to check the weather in their area and determine if adding a heat pack is necessary. If the temperature is significantly above freezing, adding a heat pack may cause the plant to rot inside the box.

Package left out in extreme temps. Packages left outside, in a mailbox, on a porch, or in a hot/cold car that lead to damage are not covered. Please bring plants inside promptly once the package courier marks the package as delivered.

Immediate repotting/acclimation mistakes. Plants (especially fresh out of tissue culture) that are repotted or unflasked immediately without proper acclimation are not covered.

Reports after 24 hours. Claims made more than 24 hours after the carrier marks the package delivered are not covered. No exceptions. Please monitor your tracking once your order ships. Live plants should be retrieved and unpacked as soon as possible after delivery. We are not responsible for issues caused by missed delivery, delayed pickup, packages left unattended, or delivery changes not arranged through the carrier.

Wrong address, refusal, missed delivery. Orders delayed or lost due to incorrect address, refusal, or missed pickup attempts are not covered.


How to Report an Issue (24-Hour Window)

Please contact us here on Etsy. We ask that you please include the below information.

Clear photos of: the unopened box label, the plant as received in packaging, and the plant out of packaging in good lighting

A brief description of the issue and current temps at your location

We may request additional photos or short videos to verify viability.


Shipping Schedule & Delivery Timing

We pack and ship live plant orders according to our standard weekly fulfillment schedule. Because live plants are time-sensitive, our goal is to minimize unnecessary delays and reduce the amount of time plants spend in transit.

Once a package is handed off to the carrier, the exact delivery date is determined by the carrier and is outside of our control. While some shipments may arrive quickly depending on location, we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date or delivery window unless a specific shipping arrangement is made in advance.

If you need delivery on or around a specific date, please contact us before placing your order. Custom delivery timing may require a different shipping service, carrier option, or additional shipping cost. Delivery timing requests made after purchase may not be possible to accommodate.

Once tracking is provided, buyers may use the carrier’s delivery management tools, when available, to hold, redirect, delay, or otherwise adjust delivery. It is the buyer’s responsibility to monitor tracking and make any eligible delivery changes directly through the carrier.
