My all-natural dog deodorant was inspired by the family dog, Elody. I love Elody to pieces but there’s no nice way to say it, she can be a smelly beast! I wanted to be able to snuggle up with her without coming away smelling like dog, so I started looking for solutions.
Bathing her all the time was out of the question; it’s not good for a dog’s skin if you bathe them more than once a month, and I didn’t want to put harmful chemicals on my best friend’s skin. I didn’t find any good answers, so I made my own deodorant to keep my dog smelling fresh and huggable between baths. I used only fresh, natural ingredients with essential oils for the fragrance and after a few months of trying different formulas I finally concocted something that made Elody smell fresh and clean!
My neighbors kept commenting on how fresh Elody smelled when they pet her and asking me how I got her to suddenly smell so great. I made some for them and they couldn’t get enough! This inspired me to make natural dog deodorant available for your huggable dog, too!
When I’m not in my office working, I’m outside enjoying nature, learning a new language, or trying weird new foods. Life is an adventure!
