Spreadsheets that do the tax math for you
TaxTidySheets makes practical Excel and Google Sheets templates for people whose money doesn't fit a generic budget template: freelancers and 1099 contractors, small business owners, Etsy sellers, landlords, federal employees and retirees in the US, and self-employed professionals in the UK.
Every file has the current year's tax rules built in (2026 IRS figures, 2026/27 HMRC rates) and shows you the numbers you actually need: what to set aside for tax, what to pay each quarter, what goes on Schedule C, Schedule E or your Self Assessment. All rates are listed on a Settings tab with their sources, so you can see where each number comes from and update it yourself next year.
I'm a software developer who works on digital-health products. I build each spreadsheet with the help of AI tools, then check it against official IRS, SSA, gov.uk and HMRC sources, re-calculate it independently and test it with sample data before it goes on sale.
