How a woman my age gets to still play with dolls?
My shop, I guess, could be said, was started years ago when I was 13 years of age. Why then? Because my inspiration was my grandmother who made an entire wardrobe for my two very favorite baby dolls: Newborn baby Tenderlove and Sweet Nature Tenderlove. You'll see them in my shop as my models. I've always loved dolls and never grew out of it. Instead my passion continued and started to include restoring vintage and antique dolls as well. I remember how much I loved my own dolls, and see these broken babies as someone very loved long ago. It's my desire to restore them and find them new homes to live. I guess I've watched Toy Story one too many times. I'm excited to share that finally, this year 2026, I will have my own sewing/workshop! I've included the picture in my profile picture. Once that's completed I will go back to taking custom orders as well as doll repairs. My desire is that my customers have a clothing items that are heirloom quality. I still have many of the outfits my grandmother made 46 years ago(Yikes). My goal is that the outfits I create become something that can be passed down, hopefully with the doll. Simple solid fabrics, and vintage patterns are my go to. While I have many staple items: slips sets, diapers, and booties; I try to make the outfits unique. Many of them are one of a kind. Some are one of a few. They are all handmade by me. The outfits are made using a sewing machine, but snaps, and buttons are hand sewn. All of these items are apparel quality and so can also be used to dress preemie babies. I hope you enjoy my shop. Thank you for looking, and reading all this! Once my workshop is complete, I'm hoping to do more. Check back and I hope to see you soon!
