Haven't sat down to read yet as it just arrived today, but skimmed briefly and the passages I looked through were engaging! I'm looking forward to reading it as I've watched a few of Owen Morgan's interviews and am wanting to unpack my own childhood!

Have not read it yet, but recieved it quickly and in excellent condition. Owen is a thorough researcher and I trust the work he has done in this text, I am excited to read it.

Intended as a gift, I may have to borrow it. Great layout to the chapters, and the appendices are well appreciated!

I found Owen on YouTube. He is an intelligent man. Owen if you see this, I know that WV treated you horribly. You had every right to leave the state. I am one person that lives in WV that would like to say that I am sorry. If WV had more citizens like you and your family, then we would see positive change.

The book is exceptionally well researched and has a great attention to detail when it comes to German history. The scholarly level is akin to someone who has studied the subject matter as a native speaker with access to applicable German-language resources.

Just a fantastic book; Owen is a wonderful author. Definitely recommend!
