My workspace
I make jewelry using semi-precious stones. I collect and hand pick every stone and use the basic metalsmithing techniques to fabricate my jewelry.....sawing, forging, milling, forming, bezel setting, and hours of soldering and finishing. I like to incorporate different finishes, I like the look of oxidized finishes and use keum-bo and gold paint on my fine silver pieces. I primarily use sterling silver as my metal choice. I use stones, pearls, rough crystals and minerals in my pieces and sometimes I use enamel.
I like designs that are sometimes edgy, organic ...feminine.
When I make a bracelet I like to make each stone element simple, I think it works well with the flowers and silver elements that I make to fit the bracelet. I hope that the bracelet works well as a whole with the simple and the more ornate elements.
I have done many shows, been in galleries and have a studio in my home.
I am now concentrating on on- line sales and small shows.
