Hey there!
I’m Josh — Owner of Text On Timber.
My journey started at 16 years old when I began making signs around the house for my mom. Before long, family and friends were asking for projects of their own, and what started as a simple hobby quickly grew into something much bigger.
When I decided to open an Etsy shop, I needed a name. My dad suggested TextOnTimber, and the moment I heard it, I knew it was the perfect fit. About a week after opening, I received my very first order. From there, orders continued to grow, and by the end of my first year, I had completed over 400 orders and realized this dream was becoming something real.
In the beginning, I created my products using a Cricut machine that my aunt Angie generously let me borrow until I could afford one of my own. As the business grew, so did my equipment. I purchased my first laser machine and eventually upgraded to the tools and technology that allow me to create the laser-engraved and personalized products I offer today. Along the way, my mom was always there helping however she could, from picking up supplies to delivering packages to the post office before I could drive.
Looking back, I am incredibly grateful for how far this journey has come. Most importantly, I thank God for blessing me with the opportunities, talents, and people who helped make it all possible. Every order is a reminder of how this dream began, and I am thankful for every customer who chooses to support my small business.
