I started Thanks, Capitalism! when I was living at Bryce Canyon in 2024 and it has travelled with me everywhere since then. We are currently living in northwest Montana in a Ram Promaster cargo van that I built out 5 years ago.
I started Thanks, Capitalism! after my Dad had to move into memory care and I realized how absolutely wildly expensive it is to live in this country (iykyk). While I love environmental advocacy and fighting for our public lands, I knew the government would never pay me enough to survive.
So, I started making stickers, both as a creative pursuit and to build something of my own. As a reader, a creative, and a lover of words (and an avid meme collector), let's just say it stuck. I'm obsessed. It's become a form of therapy for me, and you can find me doodling and making endless lists of ideas almost every day.
I make stickers that resonate with me. Equal rights, calling out government corruption, hating on the far right, mental health care, environmental advocacy...and birds...lots of birds and critters.
I also hate on AI a lot. It sucks and I don't use it and I would never use it to design anything.
