✨ Our Story – The Behavior Exchange Powered by Applied Behavior Associates
Hi, I’m Kimberlie—an autism mom, behavior specialist, and retired U.S. Air Force veteran. I created The Behavior Exchange out of love, necessity, and a strong desire to make communication and behavior support more accessible for families like mine.
My journey began when both of my sons were diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Navigating services, schools, and therapies as a parent was overwhelming, but it also lit a fire in me. I knew I wanted to do more—not just for my own children, but for others walking the same road.
After completing 20 years of active-duty service, I transitioned into the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and opened my own behavior practice, Applied Behavior Associates. We serve families in Georgia, and everything we do is built on compassion, clinical excellence, and cultural awareness.
The Behavior Exchange is an extension of that mission—a space where parents, educators, and professionals can find beautifully designed, evidence-based resources that are practical, printable, and ready to use. From PECS tools to data trackers, visual schedules to caregiver training guides, each item is developed with intention and real-world functionality.
This shop isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of my story, my family, and my belief that every child deserves to be heard.
Thank you for visiting. I hope our tools help you as much as they’ve helped us.
With gratitude,
Kimberlie Lawrence
