PAYMENT:

I accept payment for my work via direct payment and Paypal.

POSTAGE & PACKING :

I will make sure that your items are gift wrapped and securely packed. When I have received payment for your goods I will send them to you by Royal Mail 2nd Class, Tracked and Signed for. Overseas orders will be sent by Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed for.

I aim to dispatch within 2 working days of completion of your order.

Customs duties and taxes

International parcels may have customs duties applied i.e. sending to customers in the EU. The cost of these fees will vary depending on the item you have purchased, the value and the country your parcel is being sent to.

You will pay any tax that is owed on your goods via Etsy when you purchase your item. However, in addition to this you may need to pay Customs Duty when the parcel arrives in your country.

Customs will contact you to collect payment before the parcel is delivered. It is important that you are aware that you may be required to pay customs fees. Please ensure that you provide accurate contact information when you place your order.

I always send a tracking number when I have posted your parcel via Royal Mail. You will then be able to track your order to see where your parcel is in the system and if it has been held in customs. If you need further help do get in touch with me and I will contact the post office for more information.

Unfortunately, delays can occur in customs and there is often nothing that can be done until your goods have been cleared. I have no control over this and you should be aware that delays are possible.

Buttons and handkerchiefs will be made to order in colours of your choice. Please send me a message with your order to let me know whether you want me to use:

1. White or cream linen
2. Names, dates or words [up to 8 letters/numbers]
3. Colour of thread that you want me to use i.e. sky blue, emerald green etc.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy.

1. Collection of Customer Information

When a customer buys or commissions work from TheButtonCompany they will complete an electronic Etsy Order Form.

Once generated the Etsy Order Form will highlight the item purchased, the customers name and their postal address.

Customers ordering personalised goods will share personal information that they want adding to their gift i.e. names, wedding or anniversary dates.

2. Use of Customer Information

I use the information highlighted above to generate orders for customers so that I can ship them via the UK Royal Mail Postal Service.

I may unless otherwise requested, take photographs of my work to share at a later date (after the wedding, anniversary or birthday date) on TheButtonCompany Etsy webpage, Instagram or my Facebook page.

Anything that I do share is anonymised and is not linked to any customers past, present or future.

3. Sharing Customer Information

TheButtonCompany will not contact past or potential customers.

TheButtonCompany does not maintain a mailing list and will not mail-shot past or potential customers.

TheButtonCompany does not share personal information with third parties.

4. Retention of Personal Information

The length of time that TheButtonCompany Is able to view customers personal information i.e. name and address from past orders, is dependent upon Etsy policies.

Any customer emails relating to a sale are deleted when there is proof that the item has a) been received and b) that the customer is satisfied with the product.
